Customer events

Sandvik Mining and Construction are producers of the world’s widest range of equipment for rock drilling, rock excavation, processing, demolition and bulk-materials handling.

The Challenge

To run two back-to-back customer events in Philadelphia for key buyers from the mining industry. Each event was for 200 customers and 100 staff. Attendees travelled from around the world and the presentation in a quarry an hour’s drive from the hotel, it meant lots of coach transfers.

Successes

A total of 500 attendees arrived and participated. We managed the room allocation to ensure everyone had accommodation without any excess cancellation charges.

Learnings

Managing evening meal and breakfast times for such a broad mix of nationalities, many of whom were suffering with jet lag, was key.  What worked was having a flexible approach to the "sit down" time to cater for everyone.

From my side it has been nice working with you on this project. I am sure that we will work together in the future as well. It has been quite a tough week! Thank you for all your hard work.
